The sixteenth Edition of trade show Andina Link in Cartagena, Colombia, has been its most successful in several years.
The trade show combined several telecommunications and digital television sessions with the return of the cable operators to its traditional exhibition of equipment and services. Trade Association TVPC attended the show with many of its members, alter several years of bypassing it, and watchdog CNTV's presence helped, too. The government institution was quick to point out that it fully supports the decision to choose European digital television standard DVB-T instead of Japanese-Brazilian
Another aspect that helped to turn Andina Link into a success was the strong delegation arriving from Venezuela, 15 people from Peru, promoting their oncoming April 2010 meeting in Lima City, and the participation of a number of operators from Central America, with 10 cable operators from Costa Rica and also ten from the Dominican Republic.
Social life at Andina Link was enlightened by cocktail parties hosted by channel representative Matilde De Boshell and equipment vendor American Cable, allowing for intense networking among the participants at the show.
